Opening the Doors of Carnegie Hall

event

Sunday, December 27, 2026 · 2:00 PM

Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage, Carnegie Hall, New York, NY

This December, We’ve Got Rhythm aims to welcome approximately 75 students to Carnegie Hall through #RhythmSupport. Help us make this experience possible and create more opportunities like it.

Our goal is to welcome approximately 75 students to Carnegie Hall this December, alongside the parents, teachers, and chaperones who make their participation possible. Young people will experience pianist Katya Grineva live from one of the world's most historic stages, accompanied by post-concert backstage artist conversations.

THE OPPORTUNITY

A Stage for Discovery and Aspiration

For hundreds of students across our communities, world-class artistic performance often feels out of reach. Transit challenges, ticket costs, and unfamiliarity with major cultural institutions can create walls where there should be open doors.

Classroom music instruction is essential, but hearing world-class musicians live in a hall engineered for acoustic excellence transforms a student's relationship with music. In the presence of dedicated artistry, years of discipline and practice become visible and inspiring.

Through We've Got Rhythm's #RhythmSupport program, our goal is to welcome approximately 75 students into Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage on December 27, 2026. They will attend alongside the parents, teachers, and school chaperones who guide and encourage them every day.

handshake Artist Mentorship and School Visits

The concert itself is only one part of the journey. In advance of the Carnegie Hall performance, We've Got Rhythm is exploring school appearances with pianist Katya Grineva, bringing the artist directly into public school classrooms.

Following the December 27 performance, participating students will have opportunities to meet the artist backstage, asking questions about practice, stage presence, and the dedication that brings a performer to Carnegie Hall.
